North Dakota Home Inspector Training Requirements

Want to become a registered home inspector in North Dakota?
North Dakota recently passed legislation that requires home inspectors to register with the state.  According to the North Dakota state website, here is what is required to successfully register:
1. Be at least 18 years old
2. Complete the Home Inspector Registration Application (SFN 54381)
3. Submit proof of satisfactory completion of an examination such as the NHIE or ICC exam
4. Submit proof of current errors and omissions (E&O) insurance of at least $100,000 covering home inspection activities. To learn more about E&O insurance, click here.
5. A $200 registration fee


Although education is not specified, you want to make sure you have good training so you know how to properly perform home inspections. Also, you need education to learn the material so you can pass the required examination.
