Virginia Home Inspector Training

Interested in Becoming a Home Inspector in Virginia??

Good News!! Virginia now accepts home study. You no longer have to sit in class. (See below)

Virginia has "voluntary" certification of home inspectors.  This means you can do home inspections in Virginia without certification, but you cannot  call yourself certified unless you follow the state requirements.  In fact, to get certified you first have to do inspections.

From our reading of the regulations, the requirements to be certified are as follows:

Either

1.  Complete 35 hours of training and complete at least 100 inspections or

2.  Complete 70 hours of training and complete at least 50 inspections.

And

Pass the NHIE exam.

We recommend purchasing the following package for $599 + $15 S&H so you only have to complete 50 inspections

You get all of this for only $599 + $15 S&H.
