North Carolina Home Inspector Training Interested in Becoming a Home Inspector in North Carolina?? To become a licensed associate home inspector in North Carolina, you must become employed by or affiliated with a licensed home inspector. To become a licensed home inspector in North Carolina, you must be an associate home inspector for at least one year, complete at least 100 inspections, and pass the designated home inspection exam. Our home study or live training courses will help you prepare for the examination. Go luck finding someone to apprentice you. However, there is a big loophole in the law that most inspectors seem to be using. If you are a licensed contractor, you don't need to apprentice.
