International Code Council (ICC) Exam Preparation

Are you considering becoming ICC certified?  Our training material listed below on this pae helps you prepare for the following ICC tests.

ICC Exam Reference Book  $95

Many parts of the ICC tests are open book.  We have developed a 115-page book that cross references the various ICC codes for Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and  Plumbing.  The book has an extensive index that greatly helps in quickly finding details of the Code.  So instead of purchasing four different ICC books (building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing, estimated over $400 for all four) and trying to search through them during the test, you could take our 115-page book and quickly find the information you are seeking.  For example, suppose there is a question on the test about the maximum distance allowed between wall receptacles.  Simply look in he index for "wall".  The index says "wall between receptacles, page 55."  When you go to page 55 of the Reference Book, you can read "The maximum distance allowed between wall receptacles" is 12 feet.

B. The New Construction and Wood Framing Manual

In our manual we have listed the hundreds of possible construction defects in an easy to follow format.  After each possible defect, we have listed the appropriate ICC code.  By using the Table of Contents and Index, you can find what you are looking for quite easily.  In essence, we have condensed the International Residential Code (IRC) with hundreds of pages down to one manual section with about 120 pages.

The manual also has sections on marketing and legal issues - if you decide to use this knowledge to do private home inspections on new construction - and the reasoning behind wood framing and structural issues--almost 400 illustrations.
